About Us
The World Health Institute has a solid research portfolio, strong multidisciplinary expertise, a productive research environment and extensive national and international research collaborations. We design, develop and test interventions that improve health and well-being for people with a wide variety of health challenges and supports shared decision making and collaborative care. Our research contributes to a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying improvements in health and well-being, and also focuses on implementation- and cost-benefit aspects of these interventions. The goal of our institute is to improve health and healthcare through evidence-based, patient-centered solutions that support patients and their health care providers in the process towards improved health and wellbeing.
The World Health Institute accompanies and assesses the impact of the researches on health services worldwide through funding research, holding professional and public meetings and encouraging collaboration among all parties in the world health system.
The Institute's High Council authorized to encourage research, surveys and professional opinions aimed at assessing the implementation of the recent researches on health and its impact on health services worldwide.

Our research infrastructure – facilities, networks, expert researchers and technology platforms – helps to underpin the research funded by the life sciences industry, charities that is crucial to improving national health and supporting a strong economy.
